FFS. This went down so well with the girls. It was literally a tin of tomatoes simmered with garlic, salt and pepper then blitzed. Then the gnocchi warmed up in it. :mog:

There are some lovely sounding dishes in the book. The soup will be the first thing I make but I’ve earmarked loads.

"Celebrating the Extraordinary Tomato" has slayed me. It's like a cook book my ma has from the 70s or 80s, called Thank Goodness for Eggs.

Waffle versatile!

That tomato book looks so pretty! I am sad that I hated tomatoes until my twenties.

I've always liked tomatoes but cooked tomatoes never appeal to me as I think they're taking the place of something cream based but my waist line needs to dismiss that notion these days. Plus I do really love tomatoes and feel sad for people who do not. I am happy you came to your senses.

Blessed Be The Pea.

Tomatoes are great. I'd also like a potato waffle now.
