I've got people (family) coming for Sunday lunch this week.
My mind's a blank as to what to cook.

Please inspire me and share your favourite Sunday lunch menus.

Make a Bourguignon. The weather's going to be awful this weekend. You can make it in advance so you can enjoy time with your family on the day.

I’d probably do a one pot wonder of some sort to have with rice, salad and garlic bread. Like Zoomer suggested

Lasagne with salad and garlic bread if you don't fancy a roast.

It's better made a day or two in advance anyway so you'd just need to lob it in the oven for 45-60 minutes or so to warm it up.

I might try a Carbonnade flammande.

Chocolate mousse! I'm obsessed with making it at the moment.

Not especially Sundayish but I'd be tempted to do a few different curries and sides, so you don't really have to worry about preferences as people can just have the bits they want. And can make most of it all ahead.

We never really do Sunday lunch as I prefer brunch hosting on a Sunday. But I think my favourite Sunday lunch would be rotisserie chicken, put lentils, salad, baguette and chocolate mousse.

I've been alternating serving the chocolate mousse with olive oil, toasted hazelnuts and sea salt or sour cherries and whipped cream.

Make lemon meringue pie in that case. ( I have no reason for suggesting this other than that I really like lemon meringue pie. )

I don't know anyone who hates chocolate?! People never fail to surprise me.

I also really like lemon meringue tart.
I make a really nice lemon and olive oil cake, but that's an afternoon tea sort of cake.
I was thinking about pavlova, but your suggestion makes more sense as it uses whites and yolks.

I rarely choose a chocolate dessert. I’d pick something like a tart or cheesecake first. And I’d sooner have a plain vanilla sponge over a chocolate cake. But I do love chocolate. I can’t seem to control myself around Cadbury fingers.

Mr L hates chocolate. All the more for me! It can be a problem eating out sometimes as he’ll order a dessert that doesn’t mention chocolate only to find chocolate shavings on it.

I'm all about the chocolate desserts. Or lemon desserts, I'll add that to my repertoire too. I'm nothing if not magnanimous.

SunnyDad will eat a shaving or two of chocolate, a couple of chocolate chips are OK, but not a chocolate dessert nor a bar of chocolate.
