The other day, I sent an offer on something, and in response I got this whole essay about how much she'd loved it, and so she really wanted full price for it, but maybe if I wait a couple of weeks she'd be able to give me a discount. In the meantime, I'd bought it from someone else from the same price I'd sent the offer to her for.

So I replied saying 'thanks, I've got another one now' and then she sent me loads of messages about what price I'd paid, what colour, exactly what condition etc so she knew how to compare it.

Like I'm a consultant for her sales business now.

Obviously I just blocked her.

Yes, exactly! She seemed really incredulous that someone else had sold me it for less than she had it on for as well. :lol: it was a toddler sling, common make etc so not like some kind of limited edition, really desirable, high-end item.

I think you probably do, there's much less protection from a buyer side than there is on eBay.

I think though they have the same protection for verification on things though? I know now when I’ve been selling on both they make you take ninety million pictures before they’ll let you list it, and then both do this verification where you have to post it to a middle man so they can confirm it’s not fake before they forward it on to the buyer.

You have to offer the verification on Vinted and then it costs the buyer to have the service. I would 100% never buy anything you might consider 'designer' on there. There are definitely loads of moody goods on Vinted.

There's more counterfeit in the world in general, I think. Loads of kids at school buy Nikes off Ali Express and you genuinely can't tell the difference.

No, it's only on certain things (so designer stuff but you could happily sell knock off Adidas or whatever) and it's also up to the buyer to add it on rather than being automatic.

Someone put a pair of newborn Baby Disney shoes in for free with some other stuff I bought, and I tried to then relist them as they were of no use to me (nor anyone else I reckon!).

Vinted refused to let me list a small bundle, including the shoes, despite photos of the label etc. I looked the shoes up later, wondering if I'd accidentally been given something valuable, but they were only about 5€ new, and available all over the place, not just in Disney stores.

Me neither! A friend of mine forked out a lot of dosh for baby Timberlands for her newborn, who hated wearing them, kicking and screaming until she took them off. So, money well spent then.

I listed a whole load of my mum's shirts on Vinted yesterday and sold 7 in one sale! I love it when that happens!

Alright lads, had my first bad experience. Bought what looked like a nice summer dress with a lobster print on it for 20 euros. It was marked as the brand not being known.

It's here, it's made from the most flammable material alive and it's clearly made by Shein, who I would never by from. I've rejected the item, saying all that. Whaddya think my chances are?!

I've got a horrible feeling they won't refund it. That's the problem with buying unbranded because it's likely to be crap. You could say that it it's not the size advertised?

Oh dammit. The size is fine, honestly, but it's just not at all suitable for wearing in a hot summer and it's bloody Shein and was never worth what I paid for it. And I'd never want to wear bloody Shein.
