That's a great idea, thanks. Does anyone know of chalkboard paint would stick to tin? Whittards make a habit of this - I had a really pretty tin that house their Christmas hot chocolate, but again, the branding and instructions/ingredients are part of the tin, which made it much more difficult to repurpose.
H1ppy, the ribbon idea is good too, but as I haven't decided what to do with it, I don't want to cover it with materials that are likely to get grubby if picked up with wet (or greasy/floury hands)
ETA - just seen your second post, H1ppy. I'll see if I can get a small tin - I think I would just paint all of the tins, rather than just cover the offending areas, but I could start by seeing if partial covering would work.
